Two weeks ago, the Reign broke the NWSL attendance record when 34,130 fans showed up for Megan Rapinoe's last regular-season home match. Fans now have one last chance to celebrate Rapinoe's career and impact at Lumen Field – in addition to helping give the Reign lots of energy in their home playoff match.
"There best be 34,000 again there on Friday night, because that's how we give her what she deserves, and that's how we give this team what it deserves," OL Reign head coach Laura Harvey said after the Reign's final regular season match. "Come out, support this team, get behind us, and let's get ourselves into a semifinal."
OL Reign has been dominant at home this year, boasting a 6-2-3 record. The Reign's 21 points at Lumen Field are second-best in the league. The Reign also went 4-0-2 at home in the NWSL Challenge Cup.
If OL Reign wins, they'll travel to Snapdragon Stadium to face the San Diego Wave on Nov. 5 in a semifinal matchup.
