The Seattle Sounders were forced to settle for yet another tie at home, this time 0-0 with the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday. This was the Sounders' sixth home tie of the season and their 17 home goals scored was their lowest-ever total.
The result was enough for the Sounders to officially move themselves clear of the play-in game, but they can still finish as low as sixth in the Western Conference. If they can get at least a point in their season-finale against St. Louis City on Oct. 21, they'll guarantee themselves home-field advantage in the first-round of the playoffs and can still finish as high as second with a win.
