In conjunction with the rest of the NWSL's league-wide kit reveal this morning, the wait is over and the Seattle Reign FC have revealed their kits for the 2024 season.
The navy blue kit called "Reflection" will be the club's primary kit, while the secondary white is called "Summit."
The primary kit, Reflection, was designed to showcase the core values of Seattle Reign FC. The name originates from the club’s progression over the last 12 years while reflecting on the journey embraced to get there. According to a team release, the kit is a reflection, both past and present, of coaches, players, and staff who have helped write and tell the story of Seattle Reign FC. It’s also a reflection of Seattle and the communities and supporters who have proudly represented the club for over a decade, per the club's press release.
This year, the Reign brought back the iconic crest of The Queen, aka "Valkyrie," but with a modern update by adding a gold accent color called "Seattle Reign Gold." That same gold is visible on the Reflection kit as it colors the crest, the ends of the sleeves, and other components of the kit. While we can't see it on the images, the club confirmed that the gold will also be used for the player's name and squad number on the back.
As the club shared in its release, the secondary kit, Summit, was inspired by the breathtaking mountains of the Pacific Northwest and the historical excellence of the Reign. The new Summit kit is a clean blend of the Reign's new brand colors. The brighter blue that is on the front of the white Summit kit will also be used for the player's name and squad number on the back.
And speaking of sponsors, the Black Future Co-op Fund remains the front sponsor on both kits, continuing the partnership first established in 2021. Washington State Senator T'wina Nobles co-founded and is still the CEO of Black Future Co-op Fund, serving as a critical catalyst for change in the club’s community, investing in areas that are underserved and unappreciated in an effort to elevate the community to a more equitable place.
Another club partner, MultiCare, will have their logo on the top-back space of the kit as they have since 2022.
Both the Reflection and Summit kits are available for pre-order now at Reign FC's shop.
So, thoughts on the 2024 kits?
