The Sounders traveled to the Bay Area with a rotated starting XI. They hung tough for the majority of the opening half, then allowed two goals right before orange slices. As such, they had to spend the second half scrapping and scratching and also clawing their way back into the match. In the 81st, they scored the equalizer. In the 82nd, they promptly conceded what would stand as the match-winner for the home side. It was all so fun.
