Seattle Reign is finally back at Lumen Field! After starting the season strong at home, the team had a three-game road trip, with a FIFA international window thrown in the middle. That road trip didn't go so well, and the Reign are now hungry for some points in front of their fans.
The Reign kick off against the Chicago Red Stars at 3 PM PT. The match will air on KONG-TV locally and will stream on the KING5+ and NWSL+ apps.
When the Reign traveled to Chicago, they outshot their opponent but shut down on defense at poor moments and walked away with a 2-1 loss. They know they can do better.
“[We’re] switching off in key moments of the game and if we can cut those little areas out, we’ve got a real prospect here,” Reign midfielder Angharad James-Turner said in the pre-match press conference.
They'll also need to contain Mallory Swanson, who appears to be back from injury and has pace on the dribble that can create a lot of chaos.
