The Seattle Sounders have bolstered their technical staff with the addition of Craig Dalrymple as the head of professional player development. Dalrymple had most recently served as the Inter Miami Academy director from 2021-23 after previously working for the Vancouver Whitecaps for a decade, which included a brief stint as interim head coach in 2018.
In Seattle, Dalrymple is primarily tasked with helping players transition from the academy to the professional ranks, with an emphasis on the highest-potential players. The role was previously filled by Henry Brauner prior to his promotion to Technical Director. In the current organization chart, Dalrymple reports to Director of Development Wade Webber.
“His proven ability to turn theory into practice will help us to evolve our process and challenge our approach in all aspects of our developmental ecosystem,” said Brauner in a team statement. “We are excited to have his level of experience within our club and his inclusion will only serve to help us in developing the next generation of homegrown talent.”
