Seattle Reign (2-7-1) heads on the road again to take on a Washington Spirit (7-3-0) team that sits in third place heading into the weekend. The match at Audi Field kicks off at 4:30 PM PT tonight and will air on KONG-TV locally and stream on NWSL+ and the KING5+ app.
The Reign are coming off a disappointing 3-2 home loss against the Orlando Pride, while the Spirit won 4-2 at home against Angel City last week.
The Reign really need to turn things around if they want to gain some momentum and start fighting for a playoff spot.
"The whole team believes in this process we're going on and this journey we're having, so I think we're really excited for [the game] because it's just another chance to continue to implement what we are getting at with our principles and the way that we want to defend and attack," said defender Shae Holmes ahead of the match.
