Seattle Sounders FC at Portland Timbers: community player ratings form
With how Seattle’s early season has gone, they just need wins. If those wins come on the road, great. If they come against hated rivals, even better. On Sunday, your Seattle Sounders ticked all those boxes, earning three points via a 2-1 win over fellow northwest cellar-dwellers, the Portland Timbers. Felipe Mora opened the scoring for the bad guys via a too simple ball over the top and layoff from Jonathan Rodríguez. Thankfully, Seattle battled back, evening things minutes later on a deflected Cristian Roldan effort, then taking the lead as Raúl Ruidíaz put a first-time left-footed curler into the far corner.
