The Seattle Sounders face the LA Galaxy in the Leagues Cup Round of 32 tonight. The Sounders qualified after finishing second in their group, while the Galaxy won theirs.

Unlike most tournaments, though, the hosting rights for Leagues Cup knockout stage is determined primarily by the 2023 Supporters’ Shield standings, which means the Sounders would have home-field advantage through the Leagues Cup semifinals and would only even then go on the road if they’re playing St. Louis City.

The Sounders will be a little short-handed in this one, likely playing without Raúl Ruidíaz and Pedro de la Vega. More positively, João Paulo should be available after being checked out for a potential concussion at the end of the Necaxa match.
