The Seattle Sounders traveled to Columbus for what could have been a troublesome encounter with the Crew. Instead, their backup backup backup ‘keeper made the kind of play that reminded everyone why he’s the backup to the backup to the backup to begin with, and it all started to go Seattle’s way. The Crew were forced to put an outfield player between the posts for an entire half, and while he performed valiantly, he was no Alex Roldan. The Sounders ended up dropping four on him, including a hat trick from Albert Rusnák.
