Seattle Reign vs. Utah Royals: Gamethread

After three 1-0 losses in a row, Seattle Reign travels to Sandy, Utah, to take on the Utah Royals. The game kicks off at 2 PM PT and will air on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes, and stream on ESPN+ for fans in the U.S. and NWSL+ for international viewers.

The Reign has faced Utah twice this season at home. Despite dominating the match, the Reign had to rely on a late goal to come away with a 1-1 draw against the Royals in the regular season. The Reign came out on top against Utah in the Summer Cup with a 2-1 win at Lumen Field.

With Bay FC losing yesterday, the Reign and Utah are technically still in playoff contention but have to win their next three games and have other teams drop a lot of points. Basically, the playoffs are not in the cards, but the Reign want to finish the season strong.

Utah enters the weekend one point ahead of the Reign and on a two-game win streak. The Reign have dropped their last four matches.
