Date for 2025 Club World Cup draw announced

The draw for the 2025 Club World Cup will be held on Dec. 5 at 10 AM Pacific time in Miami, FIFA announced on Monday. The event will be streamed on FIFA.com.

The draw will determine both when and who the Sounders will play in the group stage, as well as set up their path to a potential final. FIFA had previously announced that all three of the Sounders’ group stage games will be played at Lumen Field.

Everything we know about the Club World Cup
FIFA announced the host cities, but there’s still a lot we don’t know.

The tournament will consist of eight four-team groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to a Round of 16, with single-elimination games going through the final.

It has not yet been revealed exactly how the draw will be structured. For the Men’s World Cup, the teams are placed into four pots based on their world ranking and one team from each pot goes in each group.

As of now, all but one of the 32 spots has been filled, with the only outstanding spot going to the winner of Copa Libertadores.
