Sounders acquire $350,000 in GAM for two international spots
The Seattle Sounders continued to build up their GAM bankroll, acquiring $300,000 of 2025 GAM and $50,000 of 2026 GAM from the New York Red Bulls in exchange for two international roster spots on Friday. The move brings the Sounders total GAM bankroll to $4,525,202.
After acquiring one 2025 international roster spot from the New England Revolution in the Xavier Arreaga trade and sending away a total of four spots this year, the Sounders still have five international roster spots. With Pedro de la Vega, Braudilio Rodrigues and Georgi Minoungou currently occupying spots, the Sounders still have the ability to add two more internationals.
The Sounders had previously traded two international roster spots to San Diego FC for $250,000, effectively in exchange for agreeing not to take Jon Bell in the Expansion Draft. That now appears to have been the rough equivalent of $100,000 of GAM.
