The complete 2025 NWSL regular season schedule was unveiled on Wednesday morning. As in 2024, the season features a balanced schedule of 26 games, with the Reign playing each opponent once at home and once on the road. The season opens at Lumen Field on Saturday, March 15, with a rematch of the 2023 final, with the Reign hosting Gotham FC. The season once again closes with a trip to Orlando on November 2.

The Cascadia derby resumes when the Thorns visit Lumen Field on Friday, April 18, while the return leg in Portland will be on Sunday, August 10 at 1 PM PT.

The Reign will be on ION five times this season, three times on Prime Video, twice on CBSSN, once on CBS, and the remainder of their matches will be on NWSL+, with most of those games also simulcast on Paramount+.

Schedule notes:

  • There are far fewer Sunday home games this season, but in exchange, there are many more Friday evening matches. The Reign have two Saturday home games (both at the start of the season), three Sunday afternoon matches, one Monday night match, and seven Friday evening home games this year. The earliest a home match kicks off is at 4 PM, while the majority kick off at either 7 or 7:30 PM.
  • The club currently has a very long gap between home games on May 23 and August 1 due to a combination of factors. The first is an international window the following weekend, then the men’s Club World Cup takes over Lumen Field for most of June, plus a CBA-mandated week off at the end of June, and finally due to the NWSL pausing regular season games for the entirety of July while the Women’s EURO, Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, and Copa América Femenina take place.
  • In lieu of an official Summer Cup this year, teams are expected to schedule friendlies during the July break; it is likely that the 14th match included in Reign season ticket packages will be during that period.
  • There are six weekends where the Reign and Sounders are both home, but none where they play opponents from the same city – April 18/19, May 2/3, May 23/24, August 29/30, September 13/14 and September 27/28. Similarly, there are no away trips where both teams are in the same city on the same weekend.
  • Two Seattle Storm home games overlap with Reign home games – May 23 when the Storm play the Phoenix Mercury, and August 1 when they play the LA Sparks.
  • There is one game which will likely see conflict with crowds attending a Mariners home game next door – August 1 (Mariners at 7:10 PM, Reign at 7:30 PM). Four other matches also have overlaps, but with the Reign kicking off far enough in advance of or after the Mariners to reduce those conflicts.
