MLS Next Pro released its 2025 schedule on Monday, charting the course for its fourth season. The Tacoma Defiance will once again play 28 games, all against Western Conference opponents. They’ll play the other six teams in the Pacific Division three times, and each of the seven teams in the Frontier Division at least once. They’ll face Houston Dynamo 2, Colorado Rapids 2 and Minnesota United 2, twice each.
The Defiance will open their season at Ventura County, who they last played in the 2025 Western Conference quarterfinals, on March 7. The Defiance home opener will be the following week against another Pacific Division rival, The Town FC.
The regular season will conclude on Oct. 5 with the top eight teams in each conference qualifying for the playoffs. The higher seed will be allowed to pick its opponent in each round of the playoffs.
All Defiance games will once again be available to stream, with some appearing on AppleTV’s MLS Season Pass and the remainder on MLSNextPro.com through YouTube.
