Georgi Minoungou is expanding his game by simplifying it

Ever since the Sounders first signed Georgi Minoungou, his talent was obvious. The question has always been “Can he be productive?” It’s obviously quite early, but it sure looks like the answer to that could be a resounding “yes.”

Through the Sounders’ first six games, Minoungou already has three assists and has generally looked far more dangerous.

The key to his improvement appears to be more of a willingness to play one-touch soccer and release the ball sooner. At the same time, he is continuing to show that he can still dribble guys into the ground. In this video, we explore his improvement:
