Opposition scouting report: LAFC

The Sounders will host LAFC on Saturday in a nationally televised match. We asked Trebor Tracy of Angels on Parade to give us some insight into LAFC.

What kind of form has LAFC been in?

LAFC's offense hasn’t been as potent as years past, but defensively the team is the best it’s ever looked. Their form is great – four wins and four clean sheets running.

One thing we should know about LAFC

This is a defensive focused LAFC, at least early on this season. The goals, outside of the last match, haven’t come like they used to, but they haven’t panicked. They know when to strike and have spent the early stages of this season establishing their defense.

Key players

David Martinez has hit the ground running this season and is getting close to finding the back of the net in bunches. Denis Bouanga is always a threat and academy product Nathan Ordaz continues his good form and looks to have a good game coming off scoring a Champions Cup goal.

Notable injuries

No injuries thankfully, just navigating a full schedule.

Projected lineup

(4-3-3) Lloris - Palencia - Long - Marlon - Hollingshead- Delgado - Igor - Tillman - Martinez - Giroud - Bouanga
