RSL 2, SOUNDERS 0: Just as the Sounders seemed to be gaining some control of the match, Forster Ajago got behind the defense and added a second goal for RSL.

RSL 1, SOUNDERS 0: On a rather mundane cross with no attackers nearby, Nouhou headed the ball into his own goal despite Stefan Frei seemingly calling him off. It’s the second goal in as many league games for the Sounders.

LINEUPS: The Sounders will make nine changes from Wednesday, with Jordan Morris making his fourth straight start. The only other holdover in the starting lineup is Yeimar Gomez Andrade. For all the changes, though, this is very similar to the lineup they were using toward the end of last year.

The Sounders will be looking to snap a 14-match winless streak in Sandy, Utah when they travel to face Real Salt Lake today at 1:30 PM PT. The Sounders’ only regular-season win at RSL came in 2011 and they’ve only even managed three ties in the stretch since then.

The Sounders come into the match unbeaten in their first three competitive matches of the season and fresh off securing advancement to the Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16. RSL are winless in their first three competitive matches and were just eliminated by Herediano in CCC.

Both teams are expected to rotate significantly from their midweek encounters, but it’s not entirely clear which one will be closer to full strength.

Although RSL has dominated the series in Utah, the two teams are relatively evenly split overall, with the Sounders trailing 13-16-7.
Jordan Morris is one goal away from breaking the Sounders’ all-time scoring record. After his brace against Charlotte, he is tied with Raúl Ruidíaz atop the all-competitions chart with 86 career goals with the Sounders.
Pedro de la Vega is currently the Sounders’ leading scorer in 2025 with three goals across all competitions. He is coming off a brace against Antigua.
