The Seattle Sounders capped off a frustrating week by losing 1-0 to St. Louis City. The game’s only goal came in the 15th minute off a free kick that was created when Jackson Ragen simply slipped and handled the ball, picking a yellow card in the process. The Sounders dominated possession and had a few decent looks to find a goal, but only put one shot on frame. It did briefly appear as if the Sounders were going to get a chance to equalize in stoppage-time after Obed Vargas was awarded a penalty, but VAR determined he handled the ball before being fouled and the call was reversed.
